New recycling plant focused on multilayer aseptic packs

In Yamachiche, Quebec, Canada, a new recycling center is being built that will process plastic and paper waste. Low-density polyethylene bags will be handled, but the facility will have a special focus on multilayer brick packs used in aseptic packaging.

According to canplastics.com, Groupe RCM will soon open a waste recovery plant in Quebec that will be specifically geared toward handling multilayer brick packs used in aseptic packaging. Funding for the $3.5 million facility includes contributions form private-sector partners Tetra Pak, A. Lassonde Inc., and Natrel.
