Corrugated boxes in demand. . .

Expected to rise 3.4% annually through 2013, the corrugated box market will be bolstered by demand in China and India, as well as by innovations in corrugation. The rise is expected because of growth in urbanization, industrialization, rising consumer income, and demand for packaged consumer goods from burgeoning middle classes in Asia, Eastern Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Even in well-established markets such as the US, Western Europe and Japan, developments in corrugated boxes including small fluting and high-quality graphics, as well as demand for recycled containerboard, will help keep demand on the up swing.
