Forty companies will demonstrate how they produce packaging and other products from renewable resources. As early as 2005, bioplastics were a powerful drawcard for visitors and media, attracting around 10,000 trade visitors. Raw materials, products, processes, equipment, and services using bioplastics technology will be on display.
Bioplastics and compostable packaging represent the plastics industry’s hope for the future. Their market has been developing with high growth rates for many years. Product range is constantly expanding and performance improving. The industry is anticipating continued strong growth, and corresponding expansion of capacity has been announced by many companies.
