Sustainable packaging coalition progress

The next meeting of the Sustainable Packaging Coalition is scheduled for June 23-24 in Seattle, WA, and will be hosted by Starbucks Coffee Co.

SPC welcomes new members. Membership information will be available at www.sustainablepackaging.org. SPC is a working group of packaging professionals, whose mission is to “advocate and communicate a positive, robust environmental vision for packaging,” and to “leverage innovative, functional packaging materials and systems that support economic and environmental health.” SPC’s launch is the result of two meetings last year at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business Administration. SPC activities are managed by GreenBlue (www.greenblue.org), a non-profit organization.
