Lignin Wins Two Awards at Scanpack

Lignin Industries was awarded two awards at this year’s Scanpack event, recognizing our commitment to sustainable packaging innovation. Our e-commerce bag won in the category Biomaterial-Based Packaging and is also the winner of Packnorths Special Price.

The Packnorth Award is a Nordic packaging competition where designers, material selectors, and constructors compete with packaging solutions currently in use across the Nordic market. The awards are presented at the Scanpack event, a major platform for showcasing packaging innovations.

These awards highlight our ongoing dedication to delivering sustainable solutions that meet the needs of the modern packaging industry. Our e-commerce bag, which combines lignin, other biobased materials and recycled plastics, reflects our commitment to innovation while keeping sustainability at the forefront.

According to the Packnorth jury, our e-commerce bag won these awards based on the following justification:

"Lignin is a natural drop-in biomaterial of significant interest. Its environmental benefits are clear, as it utilizes a low-value residual product from paper production. This results in a durable, natural material, with only a subtle, exotic wood scent. The material integrates well into existing recycling streams, and the production of the bag requires no modifications to current packaging processes.”
