Reduced packaging for breakfast bowls

In partnership with Sam’s Club, Sara Lee is testing a new-style club pack specifically designed with sustainability in mind. The new package, designed for Jimmy Dean Breakfast Bowls, replaces the traditional shipping case with a tray. With this change, the two companies will save 23.1 tons of paper, which is equivalent to 500 trees. The package was also designed to fit 30% more product per pallet, helping to maximize truckloads, thus reducing energy consumption when products are moved across the country.
