NūMove Robotics & Vision, a manufacturer of advanced robotic automation systems, has been awarded Most Innovative Solution at the ABB Value Provider Awards – Americas, held on June 26 in Chicago. The distinction recognizes NūMove's Robotic Layer Mixed Palletizing solution, developed to help distributors overcome labor shortages while addressing the increasing complexity of mixed-SKU palletizing in high-throughput environments.
Presented annually during the ABB Value Provider Conference, the awards celebrate organizations that deliver exceptional value and innovation through ABB robotic technologies. "We are honored to have our technology recognized by the ABB community," said Robert Battaglia, Director of Solutions & Business Development at NūMove. "We are equally proud to have been named finalists in the Outstanding Performance category and to have received a second nomination in the Most Innovative Solution category for our RAPTOR system. These recognitions reflect the dedication and technical expertise of our entire team."
Addressing Modern Distribution Challenges
As distribution operations contend with expanding product assortments and increasingly complex order profiles, new palletizing approaches are required to maintain productivity and flexibility. NūMove's awarded solution leverages a proprietary robotic end-of-arm tool and a layer-based handling method that delivers throughput rates up to 2.5 times higher than conventional palletizing systems. Going beyond traditional "rainbow palletizing," the technology can also manage multiple SKUs within a single layer, enabling the creation of highly diverse loads without compromising speed, stability, or efficiency.
