Giddings & Lewis Controls Measurement and Sensing: High-speed servo motors

Two new lines of Centurion™ servo motors from Giddings & Lewis (Fond du Lac, WI) feature high speed and fast acceleration. The low- and medium-rotor inertia XSM servo motors are ideal for demanding indexing applications, including wrapping and cartoning.

Continuous torque capability from 4 to 900 in-lb. DSA Series servo amplifiers in positioning/index mode handle up to 64 predetermined index moves, provide jog index capability, and permit stop/pause indexing and homing; optional SERCOS interface available.
