Kisters Kayat, Inc: Layer multipacker

Kisters (Erlanger, KY) will present its layer pattern packing system called PackRouter. Capable of arranging multipacks in layers, the system is said to eliminate the need for additional transit packing.

The arranging device is intended for handling relatively small multipacks (beverage cans in four- or six-packs) that have to be turned and distributed at speeds to 600 packs/min. This is done by servo-driven linear axis grippers and arranged into groups to form layers. Complete layers are placed precisely onto pallets or a palletizing tower by a robotic arm.
