Enercon Industries Corporation announces the retirement of Richard Bull, Managing Director and Co-Founder of Enercon Industries Ltd. after almost four decades of dedicated service to the induction cap sealing specialists.
Richard co-founded Enercon Industries Ltd, the UK and European arm of the company, in the late 1980s. He launched Enercon’s range of induction cap sealers into these territories.
Under Richard’s visionary leadership, Enercon grew to become the leading supplier of induction sealing technology in the UK and Europe.
Beyond running an international business, Richard contributed significantly to the wider packaging industry. He served on the board of the PPMA (now Automate UK) as Technical Director and completed two terms on the board of the Packaging Society. His dedication to supporting the next generation of industry professionals was also evident through his long-term participation in a business mentorship program and the university lectures he delivered.
Richard’s contributions led to him receiving numerous accolades, including a Fellowship from the Institute of Packaging in 2011 and the PPMA Group’s Lifetime Outstanding Achievement Award in 2016.
Reflecting on his career, Richard shared, “As I prepare to retire, I am filled with pride for the extraordinary journey I have had in the packaging industry. I am immensely proud to have played a role in growing Enercon Industries into the global leader it has become, supported by a wonderful team of people, both past and present. I look forward to my well-deserved retirement, confident that the company is in good hands, and that our customers will continue to receive the high standards of quality and service they have come to expect from Enercon.”

Enercon’s existing management team will continue to lead the company following Richard’s departure. A new General Manager is being recruited to succeed Richard and help lead Enercon into its next phase of growth.
