On July 5, Bayer announced its Sustainable Development Report 2010. The following release comes from Bayer:

“Bayer’s Sustainable Development Report 2010 focuses on the company’s sustainability performance in 2010. It documents the progress Bayer has made in its focus areas of global health care provision, nutrition for a growing world population and climate and resource conservation, and gives information on the strategic anchoring of sustainability in the Group.
“To accentuate the company commitment to sustainability, Bayer set ambitious new targets to be achieved by 2015. These targets shall support the enhanced integration of sustainability into our business activities along the entire value chain.
“The publication also reports in detail on Bayer’s sustainability achievements in the fields of management and corporate governance, employees, innovation & products, ecology, and social commitment.
