Greenberg joins Packaging World

March 17 marked not only St. Patrick's day but also the first visit to Packaging World's offices by our new legal columnist Eric Greenberg.

To properly celebrate the occasion, publisher Joe Angel (left) and editor Pat Reynolds (right) toasted Eric's arrival.

Author of a monthly column called "Legal Impact" at Packaging Digest since 1989, Eric is excited about new opportunities at Packaging World. That includes a monthly column in the magazine as well as the possibility of articles in Web casts, pod casts, Healthcare Packaging, and more.

A resident of the Chicago area, Eric has his own law firm, Eric F. Greenberg, P.C., where he practices Food and Drug Law with a concentration in issues relating to packaging and commercial litigation. Most relevant to those at Packaging World, he represents a number of significant packaging companies regarding the Food and Drug Administration, and other regulatory matters. He is General Counsel to the Institute of Packaging Professionals and Contract Packaging Assn. He teaches Food and Drug Law at Chicago-Kent College of Law, and graduate food law at the National Center for Food Safety and Technology.

Eric says a second edition to his book, Guide to Packaging Law, is planned for this year. Join us in welcoming Eric to the Packaging World family. He can be reached at [email protected].
