PMI Cartoning announces a new washdown horizontal cartoner for frozen food products, designed and built to FDA sanitary requirements and featuring IP67-compliant construction and heavy-duty stainless steel solid bar construction.

Applications for this washdown horizontal cartoner include dairy products (ice cream and frozen novelties) and other frozen foods such as pizzas and finger foods.

The all-servo design features Allen-Bradley multi-axis Kinetix servos, allowing for maximum uptime, quick changeovers and simple operation. Operator-friendly controls from Rockwell Automation include ControlLogix and AB PanelView Plus HMI.

With the ability to run multiple carton sizes (ranging from 5 in. x 3 in. x 1 in. up to 12 in. x 9 in. x 6 in.) and various speeds from hand-load up to 160 cartons/min., system is ideal for contract packagers up to large food producers. Easy operation and quick changeover add to this system’s versatility. Quick-change features include all-servo driven electric changes done via HMI, digital position indicators from Siko and tool-less snap-in/snap-out change parts.
