UCB Films (Wigton, Cumbria, England) will invest $50 million throughout the next year to increase its production capacity for specialty coated films.

The co. will install a third coater at its Wigton, U.K., plant in addition to a new BOPP bubble line. —Rapistan Systems (Grand Rapids, MI) has acquired a 320ꯠ sq’ assembly plant and a 90ꯠ sq’ office building in Grand Rapids, MI. The buildings will be used for office, assembly and staging areas to fulfill current and future contracts for postal automation systems and parcel and freight applications.—Cermex Inc.
