The CCS Series adaptive clear-container photoelectic sensor from Honeywell's Micro Switch Div. (Freeport, IL) senses glass and plastic containers at a rate of 2ꯠ/min.

Typical applications include container counting, container edge detection for label placement, jam detection, container gap detection, palletizing and depalletizing. This microprocessor-based sensor can sense and readjust to environmental changes caused by airborne contaminants.
