Apacks: Mass flow meter uses Coriolis technology

Designed to fill a wide variety of 30-300 gallon containers, the Flowmeter Filler for drums and totes from Apacks features Coriolis flow meter technology to fill liquid by weight.

Providing cost benefits and a high degree of flexibility, Coriolis flow meter technology can measure the mass (weight) of virtually any liquid. Changes in product viscosity, temperature, pressure, and specific gravity are compensated for automatically. This filling system can also provide sophisticated process control systems to track fill weights and product density in real time.

Additional benefits of mass flow meter technology include: the ability to fill to accurate weight; handles a variety of viscosity (water to 40,000 cps including particulates); able to fill a wide range of large containers (55 gallon drums, smaller drums, 265-300 gallon totes); filling accuracy; easy container and product change over; provides a simple fluid pathway for easy cleaning (CIP); nearly waste-free product clean up (fully drainable); minimal maintenance; intelligent and easy-to-operate operator controls.

Standard features include: a Coriolis Flow Meter with tri-clamp fittings; one fill head valve with tool-less height adjustment; intuitive, easy-to-use PLC control system; Allen Bradley PLC control; frame is 304SS and anodized aluminum, with leveling legs; product weight is set from operator interface; on-the-fly product weight adjustment; tool less adjustments; clean product flow path (no dead spots or gaps).

The control system features: user-friendly PLC controls with touch screen HMI panel; standard painted steel control enclosure; fill weight adjustment from the touch screen; 50 memory locations for fill set-up recipes; emergency stop push button on the face of the control box.
