Cavanna Packaging USA, a subsidiary of the Italian Cavanna Packaging Group, officially opened its North American headquarters operations in the Atlanta suburb of Duluth, GA. The grand opening celebration, held May 24, highlighted the facility's 12 employees, a number that will "significantly grow as production increases," the company said. The 21,000 sq-ft facility building represents the company’s efforts to expand its customer base and build on its 52 years of providing complete wrapping machines and systems. The new facility complements the company's other facilities in Italy and Brazil with additional manufacturing, engineering, customer support and parts inventories.

Parent Cavanna Packaging Group, with global headquarters in Prato Sesia, Italy, designs, produces and distributes integrated, horizontal flow wrapping machines and turnkey systems for single-pack and multipack wrapping of food, pharmaceutical, and nonfood products. The company also provides associated upstream accumulation and buffering systems, automatic loaders and robotic, secondary packaging systems.
