The wireless capability enhances RFID and bar code labeling flexibility in industrial packaging and labeling operations, and potentially reduces costs associated with wired networks. The company, a business unit of Avery Dennison’s Retail Information Services, has also introduced a wireless flash card for its model AP5.4 RFID Printers. Users can upgrade an existing printer to wireless capability simply by inserting the card into the printer’s card slot. Upgraded AP5.4 printers have a wireless range of up to 200 feet indoors.
