Shrink sleeve label--graphics and info

The newest product from Barn Dad Innovation Nutrition relies on a full-body shrink sleeve label to carry gorgeous graphics at the same time that it contains valuable information and nutrition facts.

The label on Ultra Fiber DX is printed by label supplier RB Dwyer, which uses an IVCO (Infinitely Variable Cylinder Offset) web press. The result is gravure quality and zero cylinder costs. The 360-degree image area contains information and nutrition facts on the back of the label while the front shows a distinctive graphic that includes a brilliant metallic green. The PVC label is printed in 8 colors and combines the benefits of a decorative sleeve and tamper-evidence in one application, thus eliminating the need for two components. A perforation allows the tamper-evident band to be removed while the label remains on the canister. UV inks for sustainability are used for all print jobs.

“It was important that we educate our customers as to the importance of the 8 layer fiber in this product,” says Kelly Halbrock, Marketing Manager of Angle Foods. “The shrink label not only enabled us to have a large enough image area to write all the important information related to the fiber but also allowed for a tamper-evident band that ensured freshness and security. This was very important in our decision to use a shrink label.”
