ID Technology, North America’s leading provider of labeling, coding, and marking solutions, celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. Founded in 1993, ID Technology grew from a regional labeling equipment reseller to one of the world’s largest manufacturers and integrators of identification and tracking equipment, peripherals, products and services.

For 11 consecutive years, ID Technology has been the largest label printer applicator manufacturer in North America, with its Model 250 label applicator being the best-selling system nationwide. Today, ID Technology operates six label converting facilities in the U.S. and Canada and has 18 regional offices that provide solutions and support for a wide range of customers throughout North America.

ID Technology was founded by Bob Zuilhof, President of Pro Mach's Identification and Tracking Business Unit. Mr. Zuilhof sold ID Technology to Pro Mach, Inc. in 2002 and joined the company to lead its Identification and Tracking business. ID Technology’s growth has been fueled by consistent customer satisfaction, innovative product and service development and the steady addition of regional offices for responsive, cost-effective customer support. Inc. Magazine recognized ID Technology as one of the Inc. 500 fasting growing businesses in the U.S. for 1997 to 1998. In the past 18 months, ID Technology has added three label converting facilities, including one in Canada, and three regional offices.

The Model 252 label printer applicator, the latest version of ID Technology’s best-selling Model 250 line, features its innovative Centerline-Modularity™ construction, which couples hot swap modules with an easy-to-use, minimal adjustment calibration system for quick fault diagnosis and repair, greater uptime and lower operating costs. Over the years, ID Technology equipment has earned a strong reputation for reliability, durability and manufacturing excellence.

“When I look back at the past 20 years, I’m most proud of our record of customer satisfaction and the long-standing relationships we’ve built with companies across North America,” said Mr. Zuilhof. “Our customers’ trust and continued business is the biggest indicator we’ve delivered products and services that add value to their operations, and that we’ve made some good decisions along the way. We’ve been fortunate to have many outstanding customers and many talented employees who have helped us continue to grow our business over the years.”

In March of this year, 18-year employee Alan Shipman became the Vice-President and General Manager of ID Technology, reporting to Mr. Zuilhof. Mr. Shipman leads the day-to-day operations and strategic direction of the company and works with the Pro Mach leadership team to continue ID Technology’s strong record of growth, customer satisfaction, product leadership and market development.
