A.R.C.: Computerized netweigher for roofing nails
Roofing nails are distributed by a vibratory feeder to the vf/f/s cone, which spreads them to the ring of 14 sets of buckets. The computer-controlled buckets provide the nails three-buckets-at-a-time to the bagger and onto a takeaway conveyor at a rate to 40/min of the 50-count, 1.5-lb bags. Equipment was supplied by Batching Systems.

Fasteners are sorted, individually counted by the optical-based units, and deposited into a 60?-long heavy-duty indexing bucket conveyor. The bol counter shown is one of 10 side-by-side units, plus two Thru-Wall bolt feeders‹that supply fasteners such as washers to a vf/f/s bagger at a rate to 40 filled buckets/min.
