P-s label for returnables

Spear® and IlloSpear® have introduced ThermoWash, a p-s PP label construction that allows beverages packaged in returnable bottles to employ the same labeling techniques as 1-way containers.

Pw 10775 Spear

Label washes off the bottle during the cleaning process in a washing range of 60Þ-80ÞC, allowing a new label to be used for each bottle trip. Matches label performance and appliance speeds of nonreturnable p-s label constructions (to 1ꯠ bpm) and uses existing print methods such as screen, gravure, UV flexo, letterpress, and combination printing, along with providing no-label look. Withstands filling and distribution environments, including ice-water baths for 72 hours.
