To increase speed in filling f/f/s pouches with lightweight foods such as extruded snacks, Rovema's (Lawrenceville, GA) PAC product accelerator alters the time of the product dump rather than the sealing time.

By reducing the amount of time needed for the product's fall into the package, sealing time is not compromised by efforts to speed up the overall system. Use of the PAC can increase the speed of f/f/s operations by 60%, says the company.
