Pharmaceutical packaging demand to rise

The United States will remain the largest market for pharmaceutical packaging according to World Pharmaceutical Packaging, a new study from The Freedonia Group.

The study says world pharmaceutical packaging demand will increase 4.3% annually to $22.2 billion in 2007. Blister packaging will generate the strongest global growth, with demand increasing 6.6% per year to $4.9 billion in 2007. Growth is also forecast in drug pouches and strip packs, plastic bottles, “other” primary containers, and closures and accessories. The 399-page study is available for $5걄.
