Packing u-shaped tubes

A new structure from Pactiv Inc.(Lake Forest, IL) combines Hexacomb® honeycomb with corrugated to minimize shipping damage to u-shaped fluorescent light tubes.

The package consists of a die-cut corrugated sheet laminated to two punch-cut honeycomb pads. These pads are made from kraft paper that is sliced into strips and glued together with a water-based adhesive to form a pattern of nested hexagonal cells. Each assembly houses two u-shaped tubes, and there are six pads per corrugated shipper.
