It involves a chemical modification of post-consumer PET utilizing special modifying agents. The resulting new bottle material, called PET-M, has a slightly different molecular structure than virgin PET. PTP claims that PET-M is cost-competitive with virgin PET and less expensive than RPET.

Produced and managed by Schotland Business Research, Nova-Pack Europe 2006 takes place in Prague, Czech Republic, on October 2-3. For more information and registration details, visit www.schotland.com.
