Ampac Packaging, LLC: New easy to open reclosable zipper is easier to fill and keeps header intact

Ampac debuts innovation in reclosable flexible packaging.

One of the problems with many of the reclosable sliders and zippers voiced by consumers is difficulty in opening the package. While the need for a tamper evident seal is a requirement in today's marketplace, it is often very difficult to access the package contents. This consumer frustration has been addressed by the Ampac E-Z ZIP TM reclosable zipper pouch. A pull tab is provided to open the package. The tab is highly visible and easy for consumers to pull straight across the package to reveal the zipper opening. The filling operation is consistent and efficient, as the complete zipper tape is protected, attached to one side of the package. The track will not be contaminated by product during fill, while seal integrity is assured during bottom fill operations.

Brand owners will appreciate the graphic opportunities with the Ampac reclosable pouch. The entire header is available for Brand information, creating a billboard along the top of the package. The header stays intact after opening, providing additional space for consumer information. Commercial applications include Bacon Bits and Club store packages of single serve condiments. The graphic design opportunities for Club store products like specialty chocolates and other consumer favorites are greatly enhanced.

Rotogravure printed pouches and films are available from Ampac. KHS, USA Inc horizontal form, fill seal systems are available for manufacture of zippered pouches at speeds up to 100 packages per minute.
