Fowler Products now exclusive distributor of Zalkin machinery in Canada

Fowler has engaged Alex E. Jones & Associates in Oakville, Ontario, to oversee sales of new Zalkin Capping machinery within Canada.

Fowler Products, powered by Pro Mach, has been designated by sister company Ets André Zalkin, Montreuil L’Argillé, France, as its value-added, exclusive distributor in Canada. For more than 40 years, Fowler has sold, customized, installed, serviced, and supported Zalkin capping technology in the United States and Caribbean basin. The addition of Canada to Fowler’s area of responsibility is a natural outgrowth of the long term relationship between the two companies.

Zalkin is one of the world’s leading capping machinery manufacturers and produces machines that address the three major categories of cap applications – screw cappers, press/push-on cappers, and roll-on cappers. Every capping machine Zalkin builds is designed to meet the specific requirements of each individual buyer accommodating the wide variety of bottle shapes, closures types, and operating speeds for that application and operating environment.

Fowler Products will provide Canadian customers with such services as electrical control panel design and manufacture to CSA and c-UL standards, design and manufacture of bottle handling equipment, manufacture of Fowler-designed Bulk Cap Feeding Systems and Waterfall Sorters, project management services, equipment integration and factory acceptance testing, machinery installation, equipment training and start up, technical support for Zalkin systems, and supply of replacement parts.

Fowler Products has engaged Alex E. Jones & Associates, Oakville, Ontario, to oversee new equipment sales of Zalkin capping machines to Canadian companies in the beverage, chemical, distilled spirits, foods, household products, personal care, and pharmaceutical industries. Alex E. Jones & Associates is one of the country’s leading manufacturers’ representatives of packaging machinery and systems.

“Zalkin was acquired by Pro Mach in early 2014, making us a sister company to Fowler Products,” said Michel Marion, President of Zalkin. “From our customers’ perspective, it makes sense to expand Fowler’s responsibility for distributing Zalkin’s products into Canada, replacing Newmapack as our sales and support representative.

“From an external perspective, it made similar sense because of the increased capabilities Fowler Products brings to Canadian customers – larger technical support team, larger multi-million dollar replacement parts inventory, recently expanded and updated factory acceptance testing facility with full system integration capabilities, PMMI-certified trainers, and extensive expertise in electrical panel building and machine interface setup.”

Fowler Products will be able to shorten machine startup time due to its extensive capabilities in factory acceptance testing, installation, and training. Canadian customers will also benefit from the North American location of Fowler’s facility and resources for machine integrations and factory acceptance tests.

“The location, size, experience, and responsiveness of Alex E. Jones & Associates will be appreciated by companies looking to purchase state-of-the-art capping machines,” said Randy Uebler, Vice President and General Manager, Fowler Products.
