CAP AND CLOSURE DEMAND TO CLIMB

According to Cleveland-based The Freedonia Group, demand for caps and closures in the United States will climb by more than 5% per year to nearly $6 billion in 2007.

That will represent nearly 200 billion units. Plastic closures will remain the largest and fastest growing closures, with beverages continuing as the strongest market. Growth will be fueled by a shift to more value-added configurations such as dispensing and child-resistant closures, according to Caps & Closures. The 305-page study is available for $3꽤.
