Copolyester shines

France’s Montblanc introduced its first fragrance with packaging made from Eastman Chemical Co.’s (Kingsport, TN) Eastar® copolyester.

Pw 15951 Eastman Eastar

Molded by Rexam Cosmetic Closures (Simandre, France) and MT Packaging (Challes, France), the black 50-mL and 75-mL copolyester forms the base for the glass fragrance container. The base includes spray mechanisms for dispensing.

The copolyester provides consistent high performance, chemical resistance, high gloss, and the ability to be colored in very dark, deep colors. It allows filling of intricate thin-walled parts, and dimensional control in assembly.
