—Eastman Chemical Co.’s (Kingsport, TN) sister company, Voridian Co., will operate 9 mfg. sites throughout the world. —Krones (Neutraubling, Germany) has formed Syskron GmbH, a company that will offer a combination of process engineering and software technology in the automation engineering sector. —Huhtamaki (Espoo, Finland) will close its plastic food packaging plant in Mt. Carmel, PA, and move those operations to facilities in Phoenix, AR, and New Vienna, OH. —Enercon (Menomonee Falls, WI) has expanded its representative network with the addition of 3 new representatives for the Asian continent: CGS (Thailand) Co. Ltd. (Bangkok, Thailand), Spicers Intl. Ltd. (Makati City, Philippines), and Eagle Pacific Ltd. (Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam). —B.A.G. Corp. (Dallas, TX) has formed a technical service group to aid users of intermediate bulk containers. —tesa (Hamburg, Germany) has changed its name to tesa AG. —Winpak Portion Packaging (South Chicago Heights, IL) has completed a 50ꯠ sq’ addition to its Chicago facility, which will exceed 125ꯠ sq’ in total space; Winpak Heat Seal (Montreal, Quebec, Canada) has added 68ꯠ sq’ to its Montreal facility. —The Mack Packaging Group (Chicago, IL) has completed the move of WaveFlute Products (Chino, CA) to its Midwest facilities in Mishawaka, IN. —YKK Mexicana S.A. de C.V. (Irapuato, Mexico) has opened a zipper mfg. plant in Mexico. —Milliken Chemical (Spartanburg, SC) will complete a new applications laboratory in Spartanburg, SC, later this year.
