An award winner at the Packaging Assn. of Canada's 1995 National Packaging Competition, the medium-density polyethylene tube is offset printed in six colors by Twinpak (Dorval, Quebec, Canada). that company tackled problems commonly associated with offset-printing on a tube: difficulty in attaining precise registration and too much ink tack and dot gain on the plastic surface. Twinpak prints and sends the tubes, assembled with a threaded polypropylene closure from Zeller Plastik (Libertyville, IL), to Belvedere for filling. Introduced in 1994, California Legs is sold in both Canada and the U.S.
