Instant foamer pumps new J&J soap

Johnson & Johnson, Skillman, NJ, in May introduced Johnson’s Kids Foam Blaster hand soap, topped with an instant foam dispenser developed by Airspray International (Pompano Beach, FL). The Table Top foam-producing dispenser is said to provide a soap product that lathers without water.

The liquid soap is sold in a 7.5-oz contoured clear bottle with hand grips on both sides that make it easy for kids to hold. Colorful, yet clear front and back pressure-sensitive labels add shelf appeal.

As the issue went to press, PW was unable to reach J&J representatives for packaging materials, specifications, and supplier details. However, the foaming dispenser appears nearly identical to the 13-component screw-on pump closure used by Dial Corp. for its Foaming Hand Wash (see PW, April ‘01, p. 2, or packworld.com/go/dial). That dispenser was also supplied by Airspray. (EF)
