Diagraph’s Linx 3085 ink is durable and legible across a range of materials, even after the production area has been sanitized. It specifically withstands hand sanitizer products currently in widespread use due to COVID-19. This ink offers a smart choice for production locations that wish to minimize the quantity of MEK on site.
This new non-MEK formula is a fast-drying, dye-based ink and delivers excellent print quality and adhesion across a wide range of materials including most plastics, metals, glass and coated cardstock. Because it is not classified as a CMR (carcinogenic, mutagenic and reprotoxic) and is drug precursor free, it is applicable across a variety of applications.

In today’s current production environments, many of these manufacturers have initiated new sanitization protocols where alcohol may splash onto the coded marks during processing. They require an ink mark that can resist alcohol and aqueous alcohol splashes.
“The 3085 ink delivers a lower solvent consumption than MEK inks, a less hazardous profile and a quality mark, making it more environmentally friendly and less costly to run,” continued Chamberlain.
