Domino: Black inks for CIJ printers

Three new additions to Domino’s range of CIJ (continuous ink jet) black inks – the 2BK026, the 2BK030, and the 2BK028 – are compatible with the company’s A-Series printers, and are particularly suitable for the food and aerospace component industries.

The 2BK026 black ink, has been developed for the A420i and is targeted primarily at the food sector where a heat seal application is required. This new ink provides quality adhesive properties to a wide range of substrates, while its resistance to heat and pressure make it suitable for use on surfaces where heat sealing is applied post coding, such as sachets and dry food packaging.

The 2BK030 is also a fast dry black ink designed specifically for food applications. This ink has a high resistance to fats, and edible oils, as well as heat and retort, in which high temperatures are required for steam sterilization, making it suited to challenging production environments.

The 2BK028 is a fast dry black ink designed for the aerospace industry. This ink, which is Boeing Approved, is adopted most notably for coded aircraft components that require proof of identity and traceability.
