Great Lakes Chemical has introduced Clearlite NU 004 nucleating agent and Clearlite 005 nucleating and clarifying agent to its line of polymer additives.

Pw 12844 Great Lakes Clearlite

Clearlite NU 004 is a micronized, sodium-benzoate-based product that increases the overall crystallization rate of semi-crystalline polymers like PP, polyamide, and polyester, resulting in productivity gains and improved mechanical and physical properties. In addition to nucleating, sorbitol-based Clearlite NU 005 also acts as a clarifying agent, reducing haze and increasing polymer transparency. Both agents are suitable for use in a variety packaging of applications.
