Light stabilizers

Ciba has introduced Novel Encapsulated Additives Technology (NEAT) to enable equivalent UV protection in waterborne coatings as that of high-performance light stabilizers in solvent-borne coatings.

The first products to be launched in the NEAT range are hindered amine light stabilizers (HALS) and UV absorbers. Ciba’s Tinuvin® DW low-viscosity aqueous stabilizer dispersions are easy to dispense and meter, can be stored for prolonged periods without sedimentation, and can be simply stirred into paint and coatings without the addition of co-solvents. Tinuvin DW dispersions are suitable for wood coatings, plastics and glass coatings, general industrial paints, and one-time transportation coatings.
