JuanaRoll, a fully automated pre-roll machine, is expanding its testing initiatives to evaluate how select infused milled cannabis formulations perform under automated filling conditions.
Historically, infused milled cannabis presents unique challenges for automation due to variability in flowability, oil composition, and material consistency. Canapa by Paxiom has taken a cautious, validation-first approach.
“Infused materials behave very differently than standard milled flower,” said Luis Pilonieta, Director of Sales at Paxiom Group. “Not every formulation is suitable for automation, and it’s important to acknowledge that reality. We are inviting pre-roll manufacturers to collaborate on validating and testing their infused products.”
Recent testing efforts are focused on whether certain types of infused milled cannabis remains free-flowing enough for reliable automated weighing and filling. Early results indicate that some formulations can perform consistently, while others require formulation or process adjustments.
