enVista, a supply chain and enterprise solutions provider, will provide an interactive experience with the FANUC CRX10iA/L. This collaborative robot, available for a game of tic-tac-toe at Booth N-6432, is equipped with customized end-of-arm tooling to show a real-world simulation of automated picking and packing in the warehouse.
enVista has designed over 100 custom end of arm robotic tools for leading manufacturers, distributors and retailers. Some facilities have experienced as much as a 15 percent increase in productivity with the implementation of robotics for critical processes like picking, packing and palletization. These kinds of results are invaluable for warehouse leaders that are trying to increase throughput levels without straining already high labor utilization.
The FANUC CRX10iA/L, integrated by enVista’s engineers in collaboration with FANUC, uses high-tech functionality to complete the bin picking process, demonstrating its ability to collaborate safely and effectively in a warehouse environment. The robot’s 3D vision functionality enables it to identify the items in the bin and determine the optimal item to pick based on pre-programed criteria from the engineers. Operators have the flexibility to program the robot with the criteria and data it needs to perfectly accomplish the task at hand. As a collaborative robot, FANUC CRX10iA/L saves floor space and allows operators to work safely alongside it.
The robot in enVista’s PACK EXPO booth has been specially programed to participate in a game of tic-tac-toe with show attendees. The robot will use its 3D vision and engineered programming to make intelligent decisions about each move for a competitive game of tic-tac-toe.
enVista is also presenting on PACK EXPO’s innovation stage at 10 a.m. on Monday, September 29! enVista’s VP of Automation, Greg Meyne, will present on the topic, “Optimizing Picking and Packing Efficiency with Collaborative Robots (Cobots).” Attendees will learn practical applications of cobots in the DC, particularly with picking and packing, focusing on how they can be used to optimize workflow efficiency, reduce cycle times and improve overall quality. Meyne will also share about enVista’s recently released cobots, Forklift – AnyPallet and Forklift – XXL. These tools, combined with the GreyMatter fulfillment orchestration platform by GreyOrange, power unmatched efficiency in manufacturing and distribution, reducing travel and search time by nearly 80 percent.
