Designed for the inspection of raw meat, poultry and seafood, the enhanced Eagle RMI 400 finds and removes contaminants that pose food safety and recall risks, including bone fragments down to 1 mm. The machine, which can be disassembled and reassembled in minutes for fast sanitation cycles, can be equipped with Eagle’s TraceServer traceability technology.

That software records the X-ray inspection process, providing strict recordkeeping that is needed under the FSMA mandate. TraceServer is designed to be seamless, accessing data from customer-provided programs using standard SQL application interfaces. Users can store and retrieve images and information in one centralized database, connecting up to 32 X-ray machines at once. Recordable data includes details on the machine, lanes and products, batches, sub-batches or partitions, package/object data, reject reasons, images and values.

In addition to enabling users to fulfill recordkeeping requirements specific to FSMA Section 204, the RMI 400 meets stringent food safety standards as outlined by other organizations and programs, including HACCP, Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and BRCGS, among others. “Although the FDA has delayed the date for recordkeeping requirements under Section 204, processors aren’t—and should not—hit the pause button in their compliance efforts,” said Christy Draus, Head of Marketing at Eagle Product inspection. “The RMI 400 with TraceServer™ delivers on traceability, through accurate system and process data that is exportable to other programs. The machine also immediately reduces the risk of costly recalls and potential food safety incidents, through superior image processing.”

TraceServer software can be integrated into other Eagle X-ray machines, too.
