Hi, I’m Roger Stainton, President of Effytec USA. I’m here today showing off our Effytec model GP-32 full servo machine. It has a dual reel unwind automatic film splicer. We’re running a mono-material film with a corner spout. This is a 100% recyclable film. We had to incorporate special features inside this machine to run this type of film as well as an ultrasonic system from Dukane, their SYNQRO system which is a patented system for a one stop sealing of the spouts inside the pouches. We’re running today at 40 pouches per minute. Once the pouches are made, we can then open, fill and seal. The purpose of this machine demonstration is to show sustainable, eco-friendly packaging with recycle-ready packaging for the end user. Once we cut off, we have the ability to fill three times into the pouch and at the end we use heat seal and heat seal and cool seal, before the pouches come off. These are a half gallon pouches. We can run on this machine here up to one gallon. And the film vendor? The film vendor on this is LD Packaging. We’ve also done testing with Huhtamaki, and the spouts are supplied by Hoffer Plastics.
