The T-94 5-gal double acting pump from Thiele Eng. (Minneapolis, MN) is one of the first specifically designed to fill 5-gal and 3-gal pails of paint or similar product in a single cycle.

The double-acting pump design keeps both sides of the piston flooded with product at all times, keeping paint from drying and wearing on the piston unit. It fills 5-gal volumes at speeds to 12/min with one nozzle without dripping, says the company.
