Tray seal system increases productivity

Suitable for any food production or packaging environment, the Point Five Packaging P5-RM semi-automatic seal system is configurable for sealing trays or cups using modified atmosphere packaging (MAP), vacuum skin packaging (VSP) or seal-only packaging. The standalone unit can produce up to 28 sealed containers, 20 MAP trays or 16 VSP trays per min. The machine handles film widths up to 14-1/2 in. and tray depths to 5-1/2 in. Film sealing, MAP and VSP can all be achieved on the same seal head. The system can be combined with system conveyors, fillers and depositors to create an automation cell.
