Accommodates cartons from 10 to 24 in. and features a conveyor with variable-speed side belt and idle rollers to gently drive the empty carton through the system. The lower duro-meter belt and rollers apply even pressure to reduce friction, preventing marring, crushing, or collapsing of the empty boxes. System uses thermal-transfer technology to print and apply variable information labels on-line, producing crisp bar codes, text, and graphics at speeds to 12 in./sec on a variety of label substrates. Options include scanners, verifiers, and counters. System can also accommodate ink-jet printers and a variety of other labeling, coding, and marking devices.
