Ryson spiral conveyors need less floor space than conventional conveyors and are said to be faster and more reliable than an elevator or lift. The new spirals can start and stop fully loaded and handle double the total weight compared to their regular spirals. The angle of incline is between 9 and 11 degrees which safeguards against loads sliding or tumbling during operation. Only one drive motor is needed, and most spirals are shipped in one piece, pre-assembled and pre-tested, reducing time and cost of installation. All Ryson Spirals are chain slat type and incorporate a unique proprietary low friction design that facilitates high speed, low noise, smooth operation and long life. Modular design allows Ryson to customize with ease and modify in the field to accommodate emerging needs.
