Krones, Inc: Autonomous fill-level monitoring

The new Checkmat 753 HF from Krones is a stand-alone solution that uses high-frequency measurements to detect with reliable accuracy whether a bottle’s fill level is too high or too low.

In contrast to X-ray or gamma-ray detection, the high-frequency process does not require special permits or elaborate safety precautions. The unit inspects as many as 72,000 bottles/hr and operates regardless of bottle material, shape or color, or paper or plastic labels. Minimized dimensions mean the unit requires only 150 mm of conveyor length in the direction of the bottle travel for measuring the fill level. It can be used with all Krones fillers or labelers, as well as with other brands. User-friendly operator control occurs at a touchscreen on the new Krones xPanel terminal, where all relevant statistical production data is displayed as needed. Phone: 414/409-4000 www.krones.com
