Industrial Consortium: Cooler infeed

The ICwedge from Industrial Consortium cooler infeed system is a continuous-motion, low-backpressure, single-file to mass-flow transfer system. The rotating motion of its multiple wedges form and transfer rows of containers into a mass-flow cooler.

System simultaneously transfers a row of bottles from the single-file delivery conveyor to the mat-top cooler chain and allows a subsequent row of bottles to form across the front of the cooler. System eliminates denting of hot bottles, allows for light weighting of plastic bottles, maximizes production throughput from improved cooler space utilization, and is able to run both round and nonround/rectangular bottles, company says.
