Battenfeld Gloucester Engineering Co. Inc: Automatic roll unloading system

Battenfeld Gloucester Engineering (Gloucester, MA) introduces an automatic roll-unloading and recoring system that operates in either manual or automatic mode, stripping finished rolls from the winder’s cantilevered shaft onto an unload table and then loading a preselected number of cores onto the empty shaft.

The unloaded table then tips the rolls onto a platform from which the operator can pack the rolls. Empty cores are simultaneously reloaded from 1 of 2 large core bins onto the core conveyor prior to the next transfer.
