New systems are designed primarily for food processing, but can also be used in pharmaceutical, medical device, and cosmetics applications. Systems use noncontact, nondestructive machine vision imaging to inspect 100% of production. The first of the two SealSafe systems checks the flange of each cup, tub, or tray after filling and before sealing for any foreign matter that might prevent a proper seal. Containers with foreign matter are rejected downstream. The second SealSafe system checks the condition of closure seals on transparent and translucent pouches.
