It inspects plastic containers for seal surface, neck finish and base flaws at speeds in excess of 300, 500 and 700 cpm, respectively. It features improvements in the control system and the ALPS Smart Test Module. When fitted with the vacuum assist, the STM can find pinholes as small as 0.003” in the base of most PET containers. ALPS also offers height sensing and top load detection options.
